HOUSEHOLD WASTE/RECYCLING SERVICE
Effective October 1, 2015, the Town of Kelvington no longer accepted household waste at their landfill.
The Town of Kelvington landfill became a transfer station only accepting material for the tree pile, metal pile, appliances and larger items such as mattress, furniture, etc. (applicable fees & hours of service apply).
With this service change, the RM engaged the services of Greenland Waste Disposal Ltd. to provide household waste & recycling bins for RM ratepayers to utilize.
Location of Bins:
- Kelvington RM Shop (household waste/recycle bins)
- Perigord RM Shop (household waste bin)
- Greenwater Lake - Teale Drive (household waste bin)
- Greenwater Lake - Woody's Acres (household waste/recycle bins)
ITEMS NOT ALLOWED IN THE HOUSEHOLD WASTE BINS
- Mattresses
- Sod, dirt or concrete
- Ashes of any description
- Construction or demolition materials including boards, roofing materials, carpets, etc.
- Automotive parts, oil filters, oil, etc.
- Tree clippings greater than 6" in diameter and 18" in length or yard waste
- Liquids of any kind
- Tires
- Animals or animal parts
- Fuel, adhesives or combustibles
- Batteries, Freon or hazardous waste
- Recycle material
